What is your life’s purpose and mission

“What is your life’s purpose and mission” is one of life’s greatest questions, that any individual may grapple with at one point of their life. If you ever wondered yourself, or if you’re currently in a stage you’re re-evaluating, this article will help. so get yourself a cup of your favorite drink and lets begin.

So back to the question “What is your life’s purpose and mission” -> It is THE question, and the one which can solve many of your frustrations and lack of clarity in your direction and path forward.

One of the main issues I’ve found that stop people from making huge progress is not a lack of ambition, drive, or desire to excellence. No, these are actually not the most important in the first part of the journey, although valuable to say the least.

The problem of most people who are seeking greatness is not a matter of putting in the work, but WHAT to put the work into.

You see, there are so many paths, so many directions and possibilities…

One can be a doctor, a pilot, a tech worker, a business man, an entrepreneur, a creative, a driver, a wanderer, a traveler, a chef, an athlete, a philosopher, and the list goes on and on.

There is no end to the possibilities in today’s modern world, but before we go onto examine how you can solve the problem of clarity on what is your life’s purpose and mission – lets dive into the root of the problem… Where it comes from.

The issue of purpose in the past

In ancient times, humans lived very different lives. Purpose was less of a thing that had to be articulated into words or intellectualized as we are doing right now. There were things that needed to be done, and people who needed to do those things. So there is an inherent difference in a world today that mostly runs on it’s own axis. Most jobs and professions nowadays are in overflow due to increase in technology and efficiency.

That is NOT to say there is no demand for talented and excellence driven individuals – there is a lot of demand for that. Yet the barrier to entry today to most jobs, careers, or businesses is very low. The job/businesses that are more valuable have a higher barrier of entry. The middle ground is non that existent in today’s landscape therefore many young people are lost in a limbo of where to put their energy and attention into.

Abundance of options

In the past, the human society had less complexity, less mobility, and less options for people to take.

Nowadays, you have a 24/7 portal to every possible place, field, interest, works, information, and knowledge in your hands. This is one of the major advantages and problems of society, where the information is so vast that it can be a blessing, yet more often than not will overwhelm you.

There is a lot of noise and not a lot of signal. Part of the reason is due to the desire of big corporations to monetize your attention, to monetize your eyes (views). This is in essence an attempt to monetize and harvest human energy, although in a low capacity that is your choice how to engage with. It is your choice, yet it is highly addictive by design and aimed to weaponize your mind against you. The constant flow of attention away from your own reality into other realities through that said portal is a negative consequence of the internet and social media.

Think about it. When you are looking at someone’s life, you are entering the awareness of their energy and their perception of the world. You are forgoing for those moments your own perception.

While that can be beneficial and a great way to expand your consciousness, over time if not monitored can lead to a shaky sense of self and a feeling of lost identity – that is why many people nowadays feel so lost.

It is easy to get lost in the maze of reality and think that every person has it figured apart from you. Avoid this trap.

The trap of chasing money

If you are going to go into the next 10 years of your life with the mindset of optimizing for money and not for purpose, that’s fine. It’s a valid decision to make – though when you are unclear on your priorities you may end up chasing money instead.

What I mean by that is instead of choosing one path that is going to make you a lot of money – because that is your goal – you may end up zig-zagging all the way through between paths.

You have to commit to a plan and path. If your purpose is money, go for it, but be sure you are not looking sideways.

I believe you are beginning to see a pattern emerging from this article.

Finding your purpose is a lot about choosing something and going with it all the way through. Pivoting is allowed but you have to choose carefully and then be very slow to change.

Compounding your energy

As you progress in life in any given field, you accumulate data, connections, information, knowledge, and energy in that field. Every step you make is compounding that energy into more energy. If you put in one hour in a project you are already proficient in, it is worth 10 hours in a different project you just started.

The idea here is that when you go for a purpose, for a mission, there has to be a deep desire and calling to go that path, rather than having to change it every weekend.

This is why rushing to choose a path is often a mistake and can lead to lack of stability later down the line.

So, what is your life’s purpose and mission?

Ah… The golden question, if one would have the answer to it at their disposal, wouldn’t it be a charm.

The truth is that you, and only YOU can truly know what that purpose and mission is.

It’s interesting that often others can see it more clearly than you in different times of your life.

Just like you see someone and you know it’s as clear as day they are meant to be working with computers/tech, or that guy that is 100% a business man and there is no doubt about it.

It’s because you know deep down that the purpose is more simple than we make it to be. Yet you are haunted by the road not taken, by the possibility of failure, of missing out.

That is the truth. In a world where other’s success or failures are shoved down your face every single day from multiple different sources, you become paralyzed by the fear of destiny.

Paradoxically, that fear means you will never even begin to work on your great goals and ambitions in the first place.

So how can you escape gravity and start ascending?

The first thing you have to realize is that the path forward is yours to shape.

You are the only one who decides how this story unfolds. You can decide that others help you, you can decide to find the answer on your own, and you can even decide to leave it as a question mark.

There are no rules and the truth is that just like in the best stories, you, the protagonist, has to have a certain wake up call to choose their path.

The difference between real life and stories is that you don’t have to commit from day one to one grandiose purpose or plan.

You can give things a go in many fields, and document your experiences for yourself. You can even share them online if you so choose.

When you do, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what you’re good at, what you love doing, and what the world needs from you.

This is the path that will make you the happiest. You can always find purpose in anything – as long as the above are met.

When you are good at something and you are enjoying it while also making money in the process you are bound to feel purposeful and more valuable.

It may not be your “grand purpose” or mission yet, but it is much better than sitting around thinking in anxiety on what path to take.

The best path to take when you’re stuck in a place is one step forward. One step leads to another and then all of a sudden things work, energy moves, and you get a better grasp on your next stage.

The True Purpose

Now that you are out of the woods and on your way, you will realize that most people don’t really have a purpose or mission that they fully believe in. You’ll realize that most people, even those you viewed as highly successful and wonderful are simply playing along a script they believed may benefit them.

I am going to reveal to you now the truth and the path to your true, wildest, grandest purpose and you can take it with you to think about, and feel in your heart whether it is true or not.

The true purpose is not something you find or intellectualize.

It is a burning desire to act upon, it is an all consuming fire that is taking you with it, no matter what you try to do to resist it.

If you look at the greatest in any field, in any story, at any time in history, their purpose was never a question to begin with.

They KNEW. They had a feeling in their heart of a task that must be accomplished. Every one of you has that same compass to take the leap and move into this field of energy, from which infinite energy flows through you and into reality.

Most of the time you are just afraid of this leviathan of a task, and run the opposite direction, far away from yourself.

Just like the greatest prophets of the bible, or the muse struck philosophers and warriors of the past, you do not choose the purpose.

It is given to you from the world itself. When you internalize this you will stop resisting life so much and you will stop the intellectualization process.

In conclusion

If you observe carefully this article was written in such a way to shake you up from the trance of SEEKING an answer to your questions. The seeking is done within you.

Most things from the external is just an input that is going to distort your natural perception and fine tuning to the nature of your reality, unless you feel it resonates in your heart.

The path is given, not chosen. The choice is whether to take it or not.

Now, go on, live your life, and let yourself be carried higher to your true purpose, to your true goals, to your highest mission in life.

There is no limit except the one you choose to put upon yourself.
